Wild animal feeding

Up to 150 wild animals and holidaymakers can get up close and personal: the new exhibition feeding in the Thumersbach winter forest in Zell am See-Kaprun is an impressive natural spectacle. From 23rs December 2019, visitors can experience native wild animals close up on the adventure tour led by an experienced professional hunter. The sight of the majestic red deer alongside shy roe deer and proud mouflons is enough to take away the breath of both visitors and local residents, young and old.
The adventure tour, which lasts around three hours including transport to the feeding area takes place every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 12.30pm.
Parking area and meeting point for all participants is at the barriers just after the Waldheimhof.

Every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 6.30 until 9.00pm, night owls exchange hoots and howls on the ski runs as they sweep down the Nightslope. Freshly prepared and perfectly illuminated, ski run no. 6 at the Ebenbergbahn radiates its lights over the rooftops of Zell am See and seems to lift skiers to the stars. It’s a special kind of snowtime joy, high above the romantic lights of mountain town Zell am See, and the enjoyment is contagious.
Free use of the Nightslope is included in every valid ski ticket. A separate evening ticket costs € 14,- for adults, € 6,- for children and teenagers.
Please note that on days when the Nightslope is open, the Ebenbergbahn closes at 3.00pm.
From 08.01.2020 to 11.03.2020
Finally the SnowNight Zell am See starts again on the 8th of January 2019. Every Wednesday evening at 8.00pm you can enjoy an impressive show. At the valley station cityXpress - in the middle of the winterly Zell am See - there is a gigant "Kicker". Snowboarders and freeskiers make a breathtaking event with style and moves in the air.
In addition to the wicked boys there is an awesome show with sound-, light-, laser-, video- and fire-elements.

The Women's Europacup Slalom (alpine) will be held on the Schmitten in Zell am See on the 17th and 18th January 2020. The Europacup is an international competition whereby young up- and coming racers have the chance to measure their talent on an international level.

Up and away: balloonalps and Nights of the Balloons in Zell am See-Kaprun. In the week of 01st to 09th February 2020, around 30 hot-air balloons will grace the region's skies during the Zell am See-Kaprun balloonalps. Depending on weather conditions, every day rides will be offered to the general public and so-called "Fly-ins" will be held, during which the balloonists have to meet specific criteria or challenges.
The Night of the Balloons on 03rd February 2020 in Kaprun and 05th February 2020 in Zell am See represent the highlights of this week, with brightly illuminated hot-air ballons transforming the night sky into a colorful sea of lights. Spectators on both evenings are also offered an entertaining program of side events.
Admission is free. Good shoes required!
Schmitten Nite Race

This is the sixth time that Saalbach Hinterglemm is holding the ”Dutchweek”.
From 18th - 22md March 2020, our winter guests from the Netherlands will be taking over the pistes and huts again with cool sounds and non-stop party fun during the “Dutchweekend”. Side events, such as the water splashing contest, paragliding and helicopter flights, are perfect activities for a proper party weekend.
The last years, DJs and bands such as Alive, Bobby Rock, Saxojoe, Vinny James, DJ Maus, DJ Jim, Jay Romee, Ricardo Molina, Jeroen, Royal Beat, Niles Allister, DJ Patrick, MC, Peter Gelderblom, BITB and lots more have rocked the huts.
